Threshold: Volume Compensation Chambers HPI Baja
Finally, true functioning Volume Compensation Chambers otherwise known as shock reserviors. Unlike other existing reserviors that are only visual and not functional, these actually have floating pistons in the compensation chamber to equalize pressure or vaccum in the shock body. Several combinations can be set up. You can run a single piston without springs for a truly neutral shock on compression and rebound, or you can run a single spring to bias either the compression or rebound. The third option is to run 2 springs, one on either side of the piston with a neutral center but progressive action in either direction. Add the shock oil and piston adjustments and you will find an almost endless amount of adjustments and tuning options.
The top pivot ball is pressed into 2 o-rings in the cap preventing metal to metal contact and allowing replacement of the o-rings if/when they wear. This ensures that this product can outlast your vehicle.
